Favorite Place

One of my favorite places in the world is the Dallas Athletic Club in Mesquite, Texas. This is the place I play golf whenever I am in my hometown of Dallas. I spend more time out at this golf club than I do at my own house whenever I am home for the summers. I grew up playing golf here in high school and a lot of my success is contributed to this club. I have countless amount of friends that I have gained from being a member at D.A.C. and still keep in touch with them. Golf is a sport that you can play everyday of your life and never get board of the ending result. It is a game of constant struggle against yourself and I believe it is the pursuit to be perfect even though no one has ever achieved it that brings people back each and every day. Also the fact that you can meet someone on the first tee but be great friends with them by the end of the round because of the time and common interest most people have that all play the great sport.

  1. How great that you have a gold course that has a special resonance for you like that, Blaine! Super! I've only played miniature golf... and I even keep trying to get someone to do a miniature-golf-themed project for this class, designing a miniature golf course inspired by the Ramayana or the Mahabharata. Nobody has taken me up on that... yet. Maybe you will be the one! Storytelling Style: Amusement Park / Miniature Golf
